Ranked 32nd on the list of the nation’s 100 best-performing health care networks in the country, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (WFHC) is passionate about creating a comforting, home-like setting for patient care.  Knowing that relaxing, uplifting surroundings can positively impact a patient’s wellbeing when receiving health care, WFHC and Forrer worked together to create an environment for WFHC’s new facility in Franklin, Wisconsin that feels more like a “home away from home” than a hospital.

By trading in the stark white walls and harsh finishes typical of a hospital setting and opting for warm colors, soft angles, and inviting patters, the new facility immediately puts patients and their families at ease.  Incorporating brick and wood elements, as well as rich color tones, contributes to the “homey” feel of the waiting areas, chapel, and lobby.  Combining these design elements with comfortable couches, cozy rocking chairs, and relaxing lounge areas results in the ultimate environment for quality patient care.
